Parent Policy Council
Volunteers Needed
We need parents, grandparents, past parents and other committed community members to attend our monthly meetings to give input on our policies and procedures. Your thoughts and ideas are important to us. No prior experience is needed – we’ll support and teach you.
Download our Parent Policy Council Flier (opens in new tab)
We meet monthly, usually on the 3rd or 4th Tuesday of each month at the West Flint Church of the Nazarene on Dye Road, between Corunna and Lennon roads – 2254 S. Dye Rd. Flint, MI 48532 (opens in new tab). Meetings begin at 9:30am and typically conclude around 11:30am.
Snacks are always provided for Parent Policy members.
Participation in this is rewarding – it’s great on a resume, gives you information and input into your child’s program and you’ll make long-lasting friends who have kids in your community. Your child will see just how important their education is to you. This is a great way to give back to our program. We cannot make decisions effectively without parent and community member input!
For your time, we offer:
- Childcare reimbursement of $20 for a half-day to those who do not bring a child to our on-site childcare.
- Mileage reimbursement payments are sent via check.
As of January 2026, we are offering childcare again at the location of the meeting. If you cannot make it, you are welcome to stay at home with your children and join us via Zoom. You will receive a $20 technology reimbursement.
If you’d like to sign up, please email your name, phone number and address to Amber: [email protected].
